Who needs Forklift Training?

The 2005 Safety Health and Welfare at Work Act requires that all companies, regardless of size, ensure that all employees have the relevant training in order to carry out their daily tasks. This is particularly important when machinery or vehicles such as forklift trucks are involved. From my base in Limerick, I have travelled to all parts of Ireland to deliver forklift courses for Counter Balance, Reach, Combi Multi-Directional and Aisle Master (Bendi/Flexi) which I tailor to the requirements of each individual customer. It is important for all forklift operators to have a valid forklift licence and a forklift certificate issued by JD Training represents proof of quality on-site forklift safety training which is relevant to the daily work requirements and specific forklift tasks

Forklift Course Content

Both Counter Balance and Reach Forklift courses, while often similar in content, require separate training and certification. Both include detailed presentations highlighting the importance of safe operation and the consequences of dangerous manoeuvres and poor observations. Theory training concludes with a test of associated knowledge based on this presentation. Videos simulating real-life situations always help to drive the point home and all forklift trainees will become more familiar with their trucks through detailed pre-operational forklift inspections. Any necessary remedial forklift training will conclude with a test of practical forklift skills. All trainees will receive a complimentary JD Training booklet on Forklift Safety while the course organiser will receive JD Training Forklift Certificates valid for three years. Individual photocard licences are available on request.
